History

Constellation Yoga was first visualized in 2014, when founders Bekkah and Mabel attended a yoga retreat in the Gobi Desert. During a late-night Vinyasa session under the stars, they had a revelation of experiencing yoga as a means of connecting to the cosmos, and became determined to share this vision with their community. In 2016, they achieved their goal by opening Constellation Yoga in Ferndale, Michigan.

Concept

Constellation Yoga classes all take place in a darkened room, with the stars of the night sky projected on the walls and ceiling while soothing music plays in the background, thus creating the sensation of floating through the cosmos. By centering ourselves in space, we are better able to understand our own place in the universe.
